Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
May I be granted permission to report to your Royal Highness as follow:
1.
Rev.Bro.Dr. Prathip Martin Komolmas, the President of Assumption University, has kindly made an announcement that Assumption University will construct "Srisakdi Charmonman IT Building".
2.
The purposes of Srisakdi Charmonman IT Building are:
  2.1
To help make Assumption University Center of Excellence in Information Technology.
  2.2
To house IT-related units of Assumption University such as the Computer Center, the College of Internet Distance Education, the IT information center, the IT training centers, etc.
  2.3
To be the largest concentration of Internet terminals at Assumption University. The number of terminals will be 2,000.
  2.4
To provide computer and Internet services to students, faculty and staff members on campus.
  2.5
To provide computer and Internet services to students, faculty and staff members from remote locations.
  2.6
To provide computer and Internet services to alumni of Assumption University.
  2.7
To serve as incubator for IT-related startup companies by students, faculty members as well as external investors.
  2.8
To provide Internet and IT training for the blind.
  2.9
To provide Internet and IT training for the deaf.
  2.10
To provide Internet and IT training for autistic kids.
  2.11
To provide Internet and IT training for genius kids.
  2.12
To provide Internet and IT training for the retired.
  2.13
Any other activities to support all of the above.
3.
The building will have 10 floors with about 10,000 square meters, including:
 
3.1
Reception area and security check points controlled by computer and webcams.
 
3.2
The College of Internet Distance Education to provide accredited degree programs as well as short courses to 100,000 students per year.
 
3.3
Office of the Vice President for Information Technology and IT-related learned societies, such as Thailand Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery, Thailand Chapter of the Computer Society of the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers, Thailand Chapter of the Internet Society, Thailand Internet Association, Association of Thai Internet Industry, and Prof. Dr. Srisakdi Charmonman Foundation.
 
3.4
The Computer Center of Assumption University, including the main computer room, Internet Network Operation Center, Computer Repair Center, Computer System Development Center, etc.
 
3.5
Computer Laboratories, Internet access rooms with 2,000 terminals.
 
3.6
Internet and IT Training Centers for the Blind, the Deaf, Autistic Kids, Genius Kids, Kindergarten to Grade 12 (K12) kids, and the Retired (over 60 years old).
 
3.7
IT Information Centers, such as Catholic Information Center, Internet Radio Station, Digital Library, ICT Information Center, Internet Security Information Center, Software Certification Center, Computer Game Information Center, Information Center for Social Effects of IT, Software Engineering Information Center, E-Commerce Information Center, E-Government Information Center, E-Learning Information Center, etc.
 
3.8
IT-related incubator for startup companies to cooperate with students and faculty members.
 
3.9
Center for special hardware as well as expensive equipment to be shared by various units of Assumption University.
 
3.10
Center for Special Software as well as expensive SW packages to be shared by various units of Assumption University.
 
3.11
Conference, Seminar, and Meeting rooms.
